Big Boy, Benjamin!

My Benjamin, How I've waited to finally be able to celebrate this occasion! You're standing Mister Man! I'm so proud of you! Whenever we help you pull up, your daddy and I yell "Big Boy!" Your whole face lights up and you give us a shriek to let us know you're just so happy. In fact, that's what we call you. Happy. I tell your daddy all of the time that your name should have been Asher, which means happy in Hebrew. Happy is what you make us too. You bring so much joy to our lives, little boy. Tonight you gave your daddy and I a good laugh and stood on the couch where your younger brother couldn't reach you. It made him absolutely crazy. The three of us shared a giggle though. I'm sure this is just the first of many "monkey-in-the-middles."
You're so smart too; have I mentioned that? It seems like you're always taking everything in that you can. The books and the doctors tell us certain things about where your little baby mind should be but I don't believe it with you. You just seem to get it, whatever it is. I think you'll take after your Auntie Court.
Sweet Benjamin, how thankful to God we are for you! You are such a treasure to our family and our love grows for you each day! I love you Happy, you big, big boy!
