Good Friends-REVISED

My dear friend and fellow stay-at-home-mom to two precious girls recently posted this list from a K-5 teaching guide on "being friends." As I read through her blog, however, I found that I agreed with the entire list but felt like it was lacking one, but a very important quality, nonetheless. So without further ado, I give you my addition to the list of "being friends."

-Good friends* tell you when it's time to put the flares away and DO A NEW THING.
*And then they don't hold it against you when you take a picture of yourself standing on the toilet in your 1970's tiled bathroom and then post it on your blog.

So thanks for being a good friend, Dani! And for loving me despite my love of all things Freshman year :)

Triple the Twins

Today we met some friends for a playdate. The company- two other sets of twins!
It was a twin-sane day. No really, it was.
Look what my display said was playing on the radio. (Do-do-do-do. Do-do-do-do.)
Our buddy, B, holding on for the ride.My Ben.
B, Z and Ben
E and Abe, grocery shopping
Abe, Ben and questionable Barrett boy :)
Snack time!
It usually goes really fast. It's ALWAYS kinda crazy. But it sure is fun!

Just a Little History...Together

The parents of these children have...
  • pulled NUMEROUS pranks-together
  • played in a band-together
  • come up with disgusting youth games-together
  • gone to Carmen concerts-together
  • AND sat in the front row-together
  • seen the sun set then rise...together
  • spent year after year at church camp-together
  • turned on entire isles of musical toys in Wal-Mart-together
  • stood side by side for the vows-together
  • Operation Christmas Child shopped-together
  • closed Dion's down-together
  • cried over parents divorcing-together
  • helped each other move...more than one time each-always together
  • fondued-together
  • hurt when parents moved away-together
  • rung in the New Year-together
  • celebrated expecting little ones-together
  • praised God for their safe arrival-together
  • and tonight, experienced our children playing-together

We love you Miller family! Even though our "togethers" may be fewer and farther between!

Sitting Pretty

The Deuce got to spend some long anticipated time with their friend, Keely, today. It was a short, and a bit grumpy on Abe's part, visit, but good, nonetheless! A highlight to our play date was Mr. A.B. sitting and playing so nicely with Miss Keely. Both boys have been sitting so well lately, but it was a rare occasion for me to catch it on camera!

Meet the Graduates of 2026!

(Theo, Ben, Charlotte, Thomas, Abe)
Class of 2026, isn't that crazy?! Believe it or not but this is our weekly playdate group (minus Keely). The babies don't really play yet but all of us moms love the chance to get together and visit! I look forward to many lunches with these tykes and their mommas; and Lord willing someday maybe their graduations. : )
