Growin' Things
I took all three kids grocery shopping with me yesterday and I have the Hebrew National's to prove it.
Yes, those are bite marks.
I guess The Deuce were ravenous despite the eggs and oatmeal and copious amounts of raisins that they put down before we left. {Growin' boys!} I'm starting to think we need a Food Fund instead of a College Fund so we can afford to feed all these boys once they hit aboutthirteen two and half.
Really though, A&B did exceptionally well, especially for sitting for 45 minutes in a 2x3 ft. basket surrounded by the all the foods that they love to eat. And a free cookie from the bakery sealed the deal on a quiet check-out! Still, I was one relieved mama as we made our way towards the exit with groceries, children, and dignity mostly in tact.
One thought I had as we were making our way across the parking lot, though, is how far we've come, the boys and I. From just quick, nervous trips to Target, to full blown grocery shopping and solo lunch dates. We are still learning, finding out, sometimes painfully what is too much or what needs to be different, but we're making progress. And no matter how absolutely crazy an otherwise mundane errand can become with them, I absolutely love every inch of their little beings and our precious days together.

In other Sloansburg news, summer is in full swing around here my flowers are abloom!
What a privilege it is for the air in our lungs and the ability to bear witness to all the lovely things {be it plants or children} that God is growing in our lives!

5 Months Old!
Our Judah Boy is 5 months old!
This month brought quite the whirlwind for our little guy. He came down with his first virus and was sick, sick, sick! Poor Ju didn't smile or coo for almost a week and a half and felt just plain awful. BUT what can you do? With two toddler brothers and lots of playgroups and trips to germ ridden kid places, it was bound to happen. Thankfully, with the help of antibiotics and a little extra lovin, he's back to his happy and healthy self now!
These days, our Ju-Ju spends most of his awake time cooing, kicking his feet, and sucking on his hands. It's such a sweet age, five months. It's chock full of smiles and laughing, and yet they still don't move. Glory, Hallelujah! Just the way I like em'!

Our big boy is rolling both ways and LOVES to stand! He gets so happy when you stand him up and tell him, "Big Boy!" just like his older brother did! He's also mostly on a two-naps-a-day schedule. I say mostly because sometimes his naps just have to happen in the car or in the Ergo so the big boys and I can get out. It's not always preferable but we all survive it just fine and it's helping me to learn to be a little less of a scheduling psycho more flexible. As of this last Sunday, it seems he's earned himself a ticket to the church nursery too. Gone are the days where he would nod off peacefully while Pastor Tim taught. Instead, he now wants to babble loudly and cause an all around adorable distraction.
We are just so blessed to have this little guy around! He somehow adds even more happiness to our little family and we all enjoy his sweet disposition. Thank you Lord for these five joyous months with our Judah Oren!

Wild Hogs
These Harley's were gifted to The Deuce by their Grammy and Grandpa Mark and they absolutely looooooove them.
Day in and day out, they ride.
And they ride. And they ride. And they ride.
And I have been known to disconnect the battery.
Naughty momma.
But really, they love them, so I reconnect it. And they ride.
So here they are...doing what else...but riding! Let me just apologize for Mister A.B.'s fits when he's get stuck. He can't quite go like his brother and it makes him a little...uh...crazy until he can get it going again. {Ah, two!}
