Beat Box-er

Ben and I had another non-napping hang out day today. Since Tuesday is our LPO day, he helped me put away our produce and then we had some fun with the box.

I sure wish we could pin down what this boy needs in terms of sleep! Some days he'll nap 2 1/2 hours, some days 1 1/2, and some days he won't nap at all. This is where that unique twin thing comes into play too, as I can't leave him to cry it out. While the boys usually sleep through each other's crying, an hour and a half into a nap is enough to be woken up by a sobbing sibling. I also don't want to get into the habit of seperating them. These two are roomates for as long as we live in this house and there's no sense in encouraging anything different. So in the meantime, I guess I should just consider one boy sleeping, "downtime" and enjoy the one on one time with other.

In other news, I have my first doctor's appointment and ultrasound on June 18th. We will finally figure out just how far along I am and hopefully be able to put to rest all of these speculations that there is more than one baby in there!! I can hardly wait to go. Honestly, I can't wait to see our sonagrapher, Darcy, again. We really developed a neat friendship with her when I was pregnant with the boys and she was one of the very special people who helped see us through some scary times. I can't wait for her to see the boys. And I can't wait to see this baby.

I'm still feeling okay. Mainly really tired and a bit nauseous at times. All things considered, I am super thankful though. I can't imagine feeling crummy and taking care of the boys! It's enough to just make sure I'm eating, drinking enough water and taking my medicine! I've started to show as well. Sometimes, more than others, depending on the clothes. But the old addage, that the second time around shows faster is definitely ringing true for me! Right now, I'm just trying to enjoy this awkward stage, not quite in maternity, not quite in my regular clothes. Fun, fun! In the coming weeks, I also hope to resume posting belly shots on the blog. EVEN THOUGH this is the second time around, and the third baby 1. Almost all of my family (including my momma) lives far away 2. I don't care and I want to post pictures :) So if you're interested, you can keep a watchful eye the week of our doctor's appointment.

Speaking of appointments, we also had Ben's PT eval this last Monday. Everything went well and there's not much to report at this point. We meet with the social worker and physical therapist again this coming Monday, the 8th, to go over his treatment plan. We're also still waiting to hear from ECEP to set up his big evaluation that will determine if there is a diagnosis to be made or not. Ben, however, seems to be progressing on his own. He's quite the mover lately and is cruising all over the place! He also seems to be crawling more on his hands and knees and less on the belly. Poor guy, sometimes I don't think his knees can take much more crawling! My little Benji boy. Not quite the "mover" but just as sweet and as happy as can be.

So there is some of what is making the Sloan world go round these days! These are crazy, crazy days! But a nagging little feeling leads me to believe that we're just getting started.

I say bring it.

And I say bring it. I have seen the daily routine and ritual in your house, and no doubt one more will not make a difference. You two are awsome. I would love to see the belly pictures, PLEASE!!!!

Benji, you are a love. But please remember to take a nap once in a while for mommy's sake.

Love,

Grammy Pammy

Oh, we can't wait to follow this all with you! What a fun post. You're brave not to separate those two for naps! I would have done it long ago.:) Will you find out what you're having this time? Our vote is for the surprise! ~Sydni

Tania and Sydni, My vote is for a surprise again too. Jer's not so sure but I think he's willing to go with whatever I'd like to do. I just think there's something so fun about meeting/seeing/naming/knowing all at once! So, Lord willing, that's what will hopefully happen!

Tania, as for your thoughts about being smaller this time around-I'm not sure how that will work. I am showing just as early as I was last time and it seems I'm on the same growth curve. Only time will tell though!

I love the picture of you and Ben having time together, (bet it was a split moment though on Ben's part). Can't wait for the 18th either.

Love you guys,
