If you are reading this it means my blog auto-posted and we are on the road and headed north! Our fam of four is spending a long weekend in Colorado for my cousin Chelsea's wedding. I won't be posting while we're there but I should have a slew of pictures come Tuesday. I'll try to use self-control on how many I take. Jeremy's already warned me we are NOT stopping at the Colorado border for a picture of the boys with the sign. Darn. : ) In the meantime, please pray for safe travel, happy babies, and some much needed downtime for Jer.

Bumbo Fun Addendum: Pink is Fine!
There have been quite a few comments and emails regarding Ben's pink Bumbo chair. I'm sure quite a few others have wondered but not said anything as well. So to set the record straight...The pink Bumbo is on loan from some friends of ours. Jer and I couldn't choke down buying two Bumbo chairs because of the expense. They are close to $50.00 each! We figured why not save the money for something they really need, like diapers. Plus they will probably outgrow them or move on to something else in like 2.6 seconds. I guess as long as I rotate the boys in and out of the pink one, they can never say I singled them out right?!

They Showed Me!
Have you ever heard of the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!?" Well...this rang true for me last night at 1:03am, 2:17am, 2:46am, 3:11am, 3:42am...you get the point. I decided in all my wisdom (HA!) to try and eliminate a feeding for the boys by extending their feedings to every 4 hours, versus every three and a half hours. I thought this would be a good idea...W-R-O-N-G! They woke up starving last night and it threw their WHOLE night off. I swear I could hear their bellies grumbling through the monitor (okay, maybe not, but still they were very hungry). Lesson learned. Even though mom is, Ben and Abe are not ready for 4 hour stretches. Darn.

The Crash Master
Abe has been really good at falling asleep mid-floor time lately. One minute he'll be laying there playing, kicking and cooing and then he gets really, really quiet...and still. Abe-Not moving, possibly in position for a floor "crash"
Two minutes later-He's in the same position, floor crash highly likely.

Sleepy Benjamin
Ben was happily having awake time on the floor after lunch today when all of the sudden he began to fuss. I know this fuss very well, it's his "I'm tired, please put me to bed" fuss. However, I was busy in the kitchen and admittedly, didn't really want to stop what I was doing. A few minutes passed and his fussing only became louder. Upon the guilty realization that I was ignoring a sleepy baby, I stopped what I was doing and went into the living room to wrap him up. (The boys will only sleep tightly swaddled) I didn't realize how sleepy he was; however, until I grabbed his blanket and started to fold it in preparation to swaddle him. Well Ben was watching my every move. In fact, he even laughed and started doing his excited kicking when he saw me doing this. I no sooner scooted him onto the blanket and his eyes began to close. As I carried him to bed, he smiled semi-unconsciously the entire way. It was such a sweet moment I couldn't resist sharing it. Happy napping, Benji.

My Sweet, Sweet, Boys
It's 4:30, Ben and Abe are having floor/play time, and I am trying to organize the thousands of pictures on my computer that have collected in my attempt to photograph their every waking moment. While perusing I came across this photo. Look hard...it's the first photo I ever took of the boys to document their size. I didn't like the way it turned out so I never used it, but now I can't refuse posting it. Ben and Abe are just a measly 4 weeks old here! They are laying with the same teddy I used in the 3 and 4 month posts. If you look even closer, the onesies that the bears are wearing were worn by the boys just a few days ago in their 4 month old post. When I saw this, it literally took my breath away. They still seem so small to me but to see the comparison from when they came home actually made my heart hurt. Time goes by just waaayyy too fast...
What a dear reminder of how precious the time is with your babies! They grow so quickly! (Sob)
Oh Yeah!
For the last three nights the boys have gone down at 10pm and not gotten up before 6am. Can you say AMAZING?!?! They're still pretty fussy in the evening but from everyone I've talked to it sounds like that's the trend. I'm sure we're not out of the woods yet and they will probably have some nights where they still wake up, but the important thing is this is becoming more of the norm. It's so wonderful! The boys are full of smiles and coos when they get up and so are mom and dad! : )

4 Months! My How Time Does Fly!
Happy Fathers Day!
We had a wonderful Father's Day weekend. The boys and I spent Saturday making breakfast for their daddy (e.g. I cooked, they laid on the floor) and then we went to the nursery as a family. Plant nursery, not baby nursery. Then we spent the evening bbq'ing and hanging out. Sunday we celebrated with my dad and Vicky, Poppa and Nana, and Monday we enjoyed a Crawfish Boil at Gamma and Papa's house (Lance and Leanne's). Here are a few pictures from our adventures! I will put the rest up in the slideshow as there are too many to post here! Hope your Father's Day was a happy one!

Cheek to Cheek
They started off with a good eight inches between them on the fat sack. This is how I found them when I got out of the shower. I guess everyone sleeps better when there's someone to snuggle next to!

Sleep Update
Abe is three for three and Ben is two for three (sleeping throught the last three nights that is). Ben woke up at four last night and just couldn't wait to eat! I'll take it! Glorious, wonderful, seven hours of through the night sleep!!! I'll say it again, if you know someone who is expecting or has a little one and is looking for a schedule to help them sleep better, check out Baby Wise. I highly recommend it!

Yeah For Sleep!
Shhhhhh! Can you hear it?!?! It's the sound of a good nights sleep! The boys, both of them, slept through the night! 10:30-5:20. (Cue marching band playing victory song) In the words of my very sweet and very old Spanish teacher, Mrs. Justiz, from high school, "I cannot bolive!" Jeremy woke me up at 5: 20 asking if the boys woke up at all through the night because Ben was still in the same position as when he was put down and there were no bottles in the sink. I, who was still mid-REM, shot of bed in a panic. My immediate thoughts were “Are they okay? And did I have the monitor off and they just cried all night?” Nope, they really just slept through the night! This is the second time in two weeks that they both have done this. However, last time Abe needed a diaper change so I guess it 'technically' wasn't through the night. Nevertheless, we're making progress! The boys are almost seven weeks old (adjusted age) and the book that we have been following indicates most babies are sleeping through the night by eight to twelve weeks. Hopefully, the boys are closer to eight than twelve! Go boys!

Bad Daddy...
I can't believe I'm posting this picture. I will probably regret this...but it's just too funny (now that it's over)!
