Our Gracie Girl, Four Months Old

Four months old and in my opinion, one of the sweetest months of the first year. Deliciously happy, adorably squishy, sleeping through the night but not mobile! Oh how I love this girl. From the top of her spiky haired head to the bottom of her lint ridden toes. I just can't get enough of her or her eyes that seem to be hinting to be BROWN!

This last month has brought with it so many big changes for our girl. For one, she is sleeping consistently through the night and taking two very predictable and looooooong naps during the day. And she does all of the above from her own crib. The time finally came for our Gracie-Girl to move on to her nursery-which by the way is finally painted an oh-so-soft-shade of pink. But while the painting is done, not much else is. Her room is still what we call a WIP {i.e. Work In Progress} but we are making progress. Slowly :) Our girl doesn't seem to mind, though, even if it does make her momma a little nutty.

Our little thumb sucker is still sucking away. Usually when she gets hungry or sleepy. It's almost always accompanied by a slurping sound and a river of drool. This month we also took her out of her swaddle. Since she is rolling backwards and forwards and sideways and the like, we figured she needed the freedom to move. And move she does! Her favorite spot, hands down, is pressed up against the wall, on her stomach and with one arm in between the slats and dangling down between the mattress and the wall.  It's weird but she loves it and she always manages to find it!

Another new addition for our gal is playing with toys. She has really been enjoying batting at the hanging toys in her bouncer and she will occasionally try to hold one and suck on it. Her thumb quickly wins out; however, which is fine with me because I don't have to keep picking that up of the floor. She still has the angel kiss between her eyes, on her eyelids, and the very tip of her nose. And she still has a darker olive tint to her skin. Almost like a baby tan. I'm curious if it will stick, however, because Judah had it too and then around six months, he turned all white bread like his momma.

This month we also introduced the Bumbo {and yes we ordered the repair kit}. She loves it. Basically because she can be up and able to see everyone. I on the other hand have a love-hate relationship with it. I love it because it allows me to put makeup on my tired looking mug. I hate it because she always and I do mean always poops in it. And because there's nowhere else for the poo to go, it moves up her rear end and straight up her back. That and her thighs get stuck in it. What can I say? She's a little bit on the rotund side. All SIXTEEN POUNDS AND TWO OUNCES of her. She's also 24 1/2 inches long and wearing six month clothing and size 3 diapers.

And last but not least, our girl cut two {TWO!} teeth this month. I am still in disbelief! Our earliest baby prior to her was seven months and our latest was thirteen!! They came on so fast and she was so fussy and so now we are all breathing a bit easier now that they have cut. And although I love me a big toothless smile, I have to say a gummy smile with two bottom front teeth runs a pretty close second :) 

Our sweets has yet to start any solids, looks beautiful in yellow and red, and is kissed by her brothers approximately 943 times each day. 

She's our Gracie-Girl and she's four months old.
