The Cat's Meow
I'm not sure who was more surprised that he was able to curl up next to her. Seeing how Two doesn't exactly bring with it much in the way of gentleness or quiet, climbing onto the bed and then laying down next to her proved to be quite a feat for the little man.
And as I quietly snapped pictures from the doorway, the entirety of just how big my baby is really hit me. So often, I chuckle at his small attempts to be like his brothers. Rather than give him the benefit of the doubt, to let him try, my response is usually just to scoop him up with a playful, "Not for Judah!" and move on.
But as we sat there, him-loving the kitty that had eluded him so many time before, me-pondering his bigness, the inevitable happened.
He reached out and gave that kitty's leg a yank.
And just like that, my baby was back and all was right in the world again.
At least, in my world.

Listerine Anyone?!
So it's no secret that my boy likes to collect items but what's not so obvious is that he also likes to put things where they belong. This has been a relatively harmless hobby of his until a couple of nights ago.
Last Thursday, I fumbled around in the kitchen trying to get dinner on the table amidst a sea of noisy children and chairs scooting across the tile floor. Dinner was late and I was frazzled and in a hasty move, I flung open the cabinet drawer and grabbed the first utensil my hand could grab; a pair of tongs. I then preceded to serve up mounds of pasta and green beans. We all sat and ate and the chaos subsided once the little bellies were full and had headed off to bathe away the day. It was only at this point, however, as I was left to clean up the mess that I realized what I has used to serve up dinner.
In an oh-so-helpful state, Abe had generously taken my diaper pail tongs and placed them where they "go," in my cooking utensil drawer.
It's just a non-stop party around here these days.

#2 and I Don't Mean Abe
The other morning, it was crudely brought to my attention that you really should only do unto others as you would like done unto you. Case in point: I was sitting backwards on the toilet {lid down} putting on my makeup while the boys played in and out of the bathroom. Now I have to admit, my pants were riding a little low but that's what you get when you're using your legs as a human shield to two curious little bodies who think every tube of makeup is "tack" {a.k.a chapstick, their absolute favorite thing at the moment, I might add}. Anyway, Ben, who must have been very concerned for his ol' mom's well being, promptly pulled out the back of my pants, took a looooooong look down my backside and proceeded to ask me, "Poo-poo, Mama?"
Niiiiiiiice.
Also in the world of #2, we have a tub pooper. Fittingly, it is our #2 child, Abe. He's done it {you guessed it!} 2 times. Aghhhhh!!! 1 question though, HOW DO YOU STOP THIS?!?!

Pick Me! Pick Me!
I usually try to eat lunch with the boys and because The Deuce don't yet "talk," I mostly spend the time asking about animals and their sounds, pointing out colors, reciting numbers, or today, labeling body parts. Well, B&A think the body part Q&A is just about the funniest thing they've ever seen or heard, especially when you ask them where their nose is. Someone almost always sticks their finger in their nose. No matter how cool you play it, this single act instantaneously triggers the other to stick their finger in their nose and all silliness ensues! It's nearly impossible to stop the carnage once it's reached this point. Ah, boys!

My Boy, The Monkey
Recently, The Deuce have discovered how much fun the couch can be! It started simply enough and now it has slowly started to transform into a monster of a problem. They want up there all of the time. To make matters worse, they both know the sign for "up" and become extremely displeased when they clearly communicate their desire, only to be ignored or turned down. See example here. Yesterday, however, one of my boys figured out how to climb onto the couch all by himself. He steps on the dog and climbs right up! It makes his brother CRAZY, by the way! Doesn't sound like too much of a problem though, right? Just a toddler learning to climb onto the couch? Well, wait until you can see what he can do from there...

King of the Mountain Toy Box
Oh! How cute! I've always wanted my own set of little rams battling for social order!

Sheesh! I guess you could say that wrestlemania has ensued in our house.

Lick
On another weird and kind of gross note, our leather couches look like they have been attacked by a rout of snails. Anyway, you know those incredibly shiny trails that are all over the sidewalk in the morning? Yeah, we have those. Only ours are made of baby snot. Told you it was weird and gross.

You could also say that I often find myself wondering, "How much wrestlemania can one house take?"
