Big Boy, Benjamin!

My Benjamin, How I've waited to finally be able to celebrate this occasion! You're standing Mister Man! I'm so proud of you! Whenever we help you pull up, your daddy and I yell "Big Boy!" Your whole face lights up and you give us a shriek to let us know you're just so happy. In fact, that's what we call you. Happy. I tell your daddy all of the time that your name should have been Asher, which means happy in Hebrew. Happy is what you make us too. You bring so much joy to our lives, little boy. Tonight you gave your daddy and I a good laugh and stood on the couch where your younger brother couldn't reach you. It made him absolutely crazy. The three of us shared a giggle though. I'm sure this is just the first of many "monkey-in-the-middles."
You're so smart too; have I mentioned that? It seems like you're always taking everything in that you can. The books and the doctors tell us certain things about where your little baby mind should be but I don't believe it with you. You just seem to get it, whatever it is. I think you'll take after your Auntie Court.
Sweet Benjamin, how thankful to God we are for you! You are such a treasure to our family and our love grows for you each day! I love you Happy, you big, big boy!

River of Lights

This year we went to the River of Lights with Mimi and Poppa, Aunt Staci, Cousin Evie, Uncle Nards, Auntie Manda, and Uncle Chris. The Deuce had a good time riding nice and cozy with mom and dad and looking at all of the twinkle lights. It's was a whimsical night complete with decorating the family Christmas tree when we got back to Jeremy's parent's house. My favorite part; however, was just strolling with Jer and having my baby boys so close and happy to be in our arms. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Everyone's excited to have made it to the end! It was after 7 by the time we made it through and the boys were WAY past dinner and bedtime.

Boy on the Go!

A.B. figured out this last week that he can pull up on things and discover a whole new world and all new treasures! His only downfall is that he (wait for it!)...falls down! Ha! Something in the ol' cerebellum hasn't started firing quite yet to let him know that he can't just let go of things. It's pretty funny most of the time. However, I never expected that so many common, and otherwise safe things, would transform into such an arsenal against an unsteady baby. All of the sudden, even the ground seems harder.

On a side note, if his pacifier wasn't in his mouth TWENTYFOUR-SEVEN, I'd teach him to work the Grandpa Tom tongue. It helps with coordination.
